Drago Canarias holds National Secretariat meeting in La Palma

The national executive body of Drago Canarias, known as the National Secretariat, held a meeting in the municipality of Puntallana on the island of La Palma. The gathering was intended to move political focus away from the traditional dominance of the capital islands.

The agenda centered on the rising levels of social inequality and exclusion within the Canary Islands, as well as the current social and environmental emergency facing the region. The organization emphasized the importance of autonomous citizen participation, free from political manipulation.

Looking ahead to the 2027 Canary Islands elections, Drago Canarias called for high levels of social and electoral engagement at the municipal, island council, and parliamentary levels. The party urged citizens to vote en masse to combat current abstention rates, which hover around fifty percent.
