Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra Bandai Namco gameplay overhaul third-person perspective MOBA

Bandai Namco has announced a major year-end overhaul for the Dragon Ball MOBA, Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra. The update will fundamentally change the gameplay experience by shifting the camera from a top-down view to a third-person, over-the-shoulder perspective to provide more action-oriented combat.

In addition to the visual and perspective changes, the game rules will be simplified to focus on more direct victory conditions, such as collecting more Dragon Balls within a time limit. The overhaul will also include adjustments to hero roles, new customization options like ‘MAX Super Attacks’, and simplified hero acquisition paths to lower the barrier for new players.

Ahead of the year-end overhaul, the game will launch Season 7 on September 9 to celebrate its first anniversary. This season will introduce Super Gogeta as a new playable hero, along with Android 19 as a Technical-role Helper and new boss encounters. Anniversary festivities will include various login rewards, free G-Capsules, and special in-game events.
