Dragon Ball Super: Beerus remake launches globally
Toei Animation has released ‘Dragon Ball Super: Beerus’, an enhanced remake of the original 2015 series. The production features redesigned animation, reconstructed narrative structures, and new scenes, specifically covering the ‘Battle of Gods’, ‘Resurrection ‘F’’, and ‘Universe 6’ arcs.
While the visual and musical elements have been updated, the series reuses much of the original voice acting. Japanese voice actor Koichi Yamadera, who voices Beerus, confirmed that the production utilizes existing recordings, which also allows for the inclusion of performances from late actors such as Unsho Ishizuka and Joji Yanami.
The series began its global rollout in mid-October 2026. Distribution is widespread across various streaming platforms, including Crunchyroll, Disney+, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video, depending on the region. The release has seen significant fan engagement, though some technical issues and minor animation errors were noted during the initial launch period.
