Dragon Ball Super: Beerus anime remake set for October 2026 premiere

Toei Animation has confirmed that the enhanced anime remake, ‘Dragon Ball Super: Beerus’, will premiere in Japan on October 11, 2026, on Fuji TV. This production is a reconstruction of the original 2015 series, featuring redrawn animation, improved visual elements, and a reorganized narrative. The series will cover the ‘Battle of Gods’, ‘Resurrection F’, and ‘Universe 6 vs 7’ arcs. Musical themes include the opening song ‘ONOGAMI’ by MEGATERA・ZERO and the ending theme ‘Kan Peki No Peki’ by VK Blanka.

A worldwide pre-release event is scheduled for the New York Comic Con 2026 on October 8, featuring English voice actors. While a Japanese release date is set, specific international streaming dates and platforms remain unconfirmed.

Separately, Bandai Namco has released new details for the video game ‘Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3’, which is slated for a 2027 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game will feature a new setting in ‘AGE 1000’ and allow players to create custom avatars from six different races, including the newly introduced Android race.
