Dragon Ball Super BEERUS remake release dates announced

Toei Animation has announced the release details for the remake of the Dragon Ball Super Beerus arc. The series is set to debut on television in Japan on October 11, 2026. Prior to the Japanese premiere, a pilot episode will be showcased at the New York Comic-Con on October 8, 2026.

For international audiences, Prime Video will host the series starting October 12, 2026, with Crunchyroll expected to follow later with original language versions and subtitles. In France, the MANGAS channel will broadcast the series in simulcast (VOSTFR) every Tuesday starting October 13, 2026.

This remake utilizes modern rendering engines and updated hand-drawn animation to improve visual quality and anatomical accuracy compared to the 2015 original. The production includes new footage for combat sequences, revised scenes, new music, and updated voice acting to more closely align with the vision of Akira Toriyama. The story covers the arrival of Beerus, the God of Destruction, through the Tournament of Champa.
