Dragon Ball Super: Beerus remake schedule uncertain in Japan

Toei Animation and Bandai Namco announced a new reboot of the Dragon Ball Super series that will retell the Battle of Gods arc under the title Dragon Ball Super: Beerus. The project is slated for a Fall 2026 (potentially 2027) release, but recent updates to Japan's TV lineup have raised questions about when the episodes will air. Traditional Friday and Sunday slots that previously carried Dragon Ball shows are now occupied by a fan‑voted Digimon classic re‑run on Sunday mornings and another series debuting on Fridays in October.

No official broadcast date, episode count, or international distribution details have been confirmed. Leaked information suggests the reboot could consist of as few as six episodes, and the series might be released as a full‑season drop rather than weekly. Fans hope for clarification at events such as the New York Comic‑Con in early October.
