Dragon Ball Super: Beerus to premiere in October with enhanced animation

Toei Animation has announced the release of ‘Dragon Ball Super: Beerus’, an enhanced edition of the original anime, scheduled to premiere on Japanese television on October 11, 2026. This production serves as a reimagined version of the series' early events, following the period after the battle with Majin Buu when the God of Destruction, Beerus, awakens.

Unlike a simple re-release, this version features significant technical and narrative upgrades. The ‘ENHANCED edition’ includes improved animation quality, redesigned combat sequences with updated camera angles and effects, and entirely new scenes to expand the story. The production also aims to bring the narrative closer to the original vision of Akira Toriyama.

Technical improvements extend to the audio, with new music, updated sound effects, and a new voice recording. The series will also feature new opening and ending themes, including the song ‘ONOGAMI’.
