Dragon Ball Super remake schedule may delay Galactic Patrol arc
Toei Animation has announced that a remake of the original anime, titled ‘Dragon Ball Super: Beerus’, will premiere in Japan on October 11. This enhanced version will feature updated animation, sound effects, and a narrative closer to the manga written by Akira Toriyama and Toyotaro. The remake is expected to cover the Battle of Gods, Resurrection F, and Universe 6 arcs.
However, the release schedule for this remake may delay the highly anticipated ‘Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol’ (adapting the Galactic Patrol Prisoner arc). Because ‘Dragon Ball Super: Beerus’ is scheduled to occupy the time slot vacated by the ‘One Piece: Elbaph Arc’, fans may have to wait until late 2027 or early 2028 for the new series to begin. This follows a pattern of Toei Animation rotating major series like One Piece and Dragon Ball within the same broadcast slots.
