Dragon Ball Z: Budokai browser port enables gameplay at 60 FPS
An unofficial, non-commercial browser port of the 2002 PlayStation 2 game Dragon Ball Z: Budokai has been released. The project allows the game to be played on web browsers such as Chrome and Firefox, as well as on mobile devices.
Reports indicate the build runs at 60 frames per second and includes the complete original game rather than a limited demo. Available modes include Story Mode, Duel Mode, World Match, Practice, and The Legend of Mr. Satan. The version also features a save file with various characters already unlocked.
As an independent research and technical demonstration project, it is not an authorized release from rights holders including Sony, Bandai Namco, Shueisha, or Toei Animation. The initiative follows a recent trend of using decompilation and AI-assisted tools to adapt classic titles for web browsers.
