Dragon film production to resume with Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor joining cast

Production for the upcoming pan-India action film ‘Dragon’ is set to resume within the next two weeks. The project, a collaboration between actor Jr NTR and director Prashanth Neel, had previously paused to allow the lead actor to recover from surgery following an injury sustained during filming.

Recent reports indicate that Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor have joined the cast in key roles, a move expected to increase the film's appeal in northern Indian markets. The production is backed by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, with music composed by Ravi Basrur.

The team aims to complete principal photography by February 2027. If the schedule remains on track, the film is slated for a nationwide theatrical release on June 11, 2027.
