Dragon Lee Seeks to Avoid Surgery After Thumb Ligament Tear

WWE wrestler Dragon Lee suffered a thumb injury during his tag‑team match on the July 20, 2026 episode of WWE Raw. Medical evaluation, including an MRI, revealed a collateral ligament tear in his thumb.

Lee said he wants to avoid surgery because it could keep him out of competition for three to four months. As a result, he was withdrawn from a scheduled AAA Latin American Championship Fatal 4‑Way match at Triplemanía 34, and he hopes WWE will allow him to continue wrestling while the injury heals.

The wrestler did not give a definitive timeline for his return, noting that doctors cleared him for competition but the ligament damage remains a concern.
