Dragon Lee's thumb injury sidelines WWE Raw star ahead of SummerSlam

WWE Raw performer Dragon Lee suffered a thumb tear after a July 20 match on Raw, where he and Je'Von Evans were defeated by Rusev and Ethan Page. The injury forced him to miss the following Raw episode and a scheduled appearance for AAA.

Lee said the swelling and immobility of his finger were evident immediately after the bout, and an MRI confirmed a tear. He wishes to avoid surgery, which could keep him out for three to four months, and doctors indicated he may still be able to wrestle. He continues to promote WWE's SummerSlam event in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but his ability to compete at the show remains uncertain.
