Dragon Magazine's 'The City Beyond the Gate' adventure

The adventure 'The City Beyond the Gate', written by Robert Schroeck and published in issue #100 of Dragon magazine in August 1985, is noted for its unique setting. Unlike traditional fantasy adventures, the quest to retrieve the legendary Mace of St. Cuthbert takes place on 20th-century Earth.

Specifically, the relic is located within a historical display at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England. This requires high-level characters to navigate the realities of the modern world while attempting to complete their mission.
