Dragon Quest Monsters 4 reveals new character Olmira and gameplay details

Square Enix has released new details for the upcoming RPG “Dragon Quest Monsters 4: Bianca and Flora of the Withered Country.” The update introduces Olmira, a key character described as a priestess of the sacred birds who protected the Withered Country. While she was once beloved by her people, she is currently missing following the disappearance of the sacred birds due to a dark star event.

The announcement also highlights new gameplay mechanics, including “Field Scout,” which allows players to recruit monsters by throwing meat in the field without entering battle, and “Co-op Battles,” where players can team up with up to four people to take on massive monsters. New monsters such as Wandering Panda, Oyakata Kizuchi, and Criodrago were also revealed.

The game is scheduled for release on December 3 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows, with a Steam release following on December 4. A demo is currently available on various platforms.
