Dragonas IDV wins third straight title; Ecuador U-20 women prepare for World Cup
Dragonas Independiente del Valle has secured its third consecutive Superliga Femenina title after defeating Guerreras Albas with a 3-2 aggregate score. This historic tricampeonato qualifies the Sangolquí-based team for its fourth Copa Libertadores Femenina, which will be hosted in Ecuador from October 15 to 31, 2026.
In international youth competition, the Ecuador Women's U-20 national team is preparing for its historic debut at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Poland. The squad, coached by Eduardo Moscoso, is set to compete in Group C. Their schedule includes matches against Ghana on September 6, France on September 9, and South Korea on September 12.
