Drake and Online Casino Stake Lawsuit Sent to Arbitration by U.S. Judge

U.S. District Judge Leonie M. Brinkema in the Eastern District of Virginia ordered that a proposed class action involving rapper Aubrey Drake Graham, streamer Adin Ross, and the online casino platform Stake be stayed pending arbitration. The judge found the plaintiffs were bound by Stake’s arbitration agreement, compelling them to pursue their claims against Stake in private arbitration and halting related claims against Drake, Ross, and co‑defendant George Nguyen.

The lawsuit alleges that Drake and Ross promoted Stake, encouraging users to gamble and allegedly using the platform to inflate Drake’s music streaming numbers, diverting up to $600 million in royalties from other artists. Plaintiffs also claim the promotion exposed consumers to gambling addiction risks. The case was originally filed in December and includes accusations that Stake misled users about real‑money gambling while offering virtual currency games.
