Drake Maye and Patriots prepare for 2026 season with revamped roster

Following a Super Bowl appearance last season, quarterback Drake Maye and the New England Patriots enter the 2026 season with a revamped receiving corps. Maye expressed enthusiasm for the new additions, noting that the upgraded skill positions will make his job easier.

Key additions to the receiving group include A. J. Brown and Romeo Doubs. The Patriots also added rookie tight end Eli Raridon to support Hunter Henry, while retaining running backs Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson. Maye’s performance last season included 4,394 passing yards and 31 touchdowns.

The Patriots now face increased competition within the AFC East. After their recent playoff success, team members noted they are now the team being hunted by divisional rivals, including the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and Miami Dolphins.
