Drake sets record for most No. 1 R&B/Hip-Hop albums

Drake has achieved a new milestone on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, securing his 18th No. 1 album. With the success of the “HABIBTI (FOMO)” deluxe expansion, he has surpassed both Future and the Motown group The Temptations, who previously held or shared the record with 17 No. 1 albums.

The record-breaking album, “HABIBTI”, reached the top spot on the October 17 chart following the addition of four new tracks from his “FOMO” film. This achievement also marked a rare instance of self-replacement at No. 1, as the album displaced his own release, “ICEMAN”.

For the tracking week ending October 8, “HABIBTI” earned 71,000 U.S. album-equivalent units, representing a 506% increase. Drake has also announced plans for a world tour in 2027.
