Drake University's football team has extended its winning streak to two games following victories in Pioneer Football League play.

In their most recent matchup, Drake defeated Davidson 30-22 at Drake Stadium in Des Moines. Quarterback Riley Warzynski led the offense with 347 passing yards and three touchdowns. The win improves Drake's conference record to 2-0 after an early season start that included three losses.

In another league contest, the University of Dayton suffered its first loss of the season against Drake. Despite a defensive score from linebacker David Curl III, who returned an interception for a touchdown, the Flyers were unable to overcome the Bulldogs.
