D'Ran Pass reopens after landslide on National Highway 20

Traffic has resumed on the D'Ran Pass along National Highway 20, a vital route connecting Da Lat in Lam Dong province to Phan Rang-Thap Cham in Khanh Hoa province, following a major landslide.

The landslide occurred around 10:00 PM on September 11 due to heavy, prolonged rainfall. A large volume of earth, rocks, trees, and water collapsed onto the roadway at Km263+900, located approximately 6km from the Cau Dat area in Da Lat. The incident caused a total standstill for all automobile traffic, forcing motorists to turn back or seek alternative routes.

Emergency response teams, including the Lam Dong Road Maintenance Management Board and the Thanh Nam 886 Construction and Investment JSC, worked through the night to clear the debris. By 6:30 AM on September 12, the cleanup was largely completed, allowing vehicles to pass through the area at reduced speeds. Authorities have implemented safety measures, including signage and cordoned areas, to ensure safe passage as cleaning continues.
