Draymond Green faces new tactical roles and praises rookie Lendeborg

Golden State Warriors veteran Draymond Green is facing tactical shifts under head coach Steve Kerr as the new NBA season approaches. Kerr has reportedly instructed Green to reduce turnovers, ending a long-standing policy where Green and Stephen Curry were permitted more ball-handling risks than other teammates. Additionally, Kerr has requested that Green take more three-point shots to improve floor spacing, a directive Green noted is a first in his career.

Separately, Green expressed high praise for rookie Yaxel Lendeborg following a training camp in San Diego. Green highlighted Lendeborg’s basketball intelligence, shooting ability, and eagerness to learn, stating, “That boy can play. He is really good.” While impressed by the rookie’s performance and attitude, Green cautioned against setting excessive expectations before Lendeborg makes his official NBA debut, noting the significant jump in difficulty once the regular season begins.
