DRB-HICOM reports RM148 million pre-tax profit for Q2 2026

DRB-HICOM Berhad reported a 20.2 percent year-on-year increase in pre-tax profit, reaching RM148.12 million for the second quarter ending June 30, 2026. Revenue for the period rose 33.1 percent to RM5.5 billion.

The growth was primarily driven by the Mobility segment, supported by higher Proton sales, which achieved its best half-year performance in 15 years with 100,346 units sold. Additionally, the group benefited from expanded aerospace business following the acquisition of CTRM AeroSystems Sdn. Bhd., stronger automotive distribution, and increased financing income from Bank Muamalat.

In the first half of 2026, the group's total pre-tax profit rose 57.8 percent to RM340.52 million, while revenue increased 24.4 percent to RM10.26 billion. The Pos segment also showed progress, with losses narrowing by 30.1 percent year-on-year.
