Czech Republic regional infrastructure and heritage projects

Various regional development and restoration projects are underway across the Czech Republic, focusing on public infrastructure, healthcare, and cultural heritage.

In Prague, the city is seeking a 12-year concession operator for the Motol swimming pool, requiring the winner to invest 15 to 20 million CZK into a new wellness center and bistro. In Blansko, the local hospital has completed a 150 million CZK expansion, including a new 21-bed rotating ward to facilitate future renovations. Brno has also commenced construction of a 126 million CZK parking garage in the Nový Lískovec district to alleviate local congestion.

Cultural preservation remains a major theme. In Kroměříž, the Archbishop's Palace underwent extensive roof repairs to protect its UNESCO-listed interiors. In Plzeň, plans are moving forward to protect the Radyně Castle ruins with modern roofing that preserves its silhouette, while the historic Peklo hall and Jiráskovo Square undergo long-awaited renovations. Additionally, the Drábské světničky rock castle is expected to reopen to tourists in late September following a 17 million CZK infrastructure restoration project.
