DRC and Israel strengthen diplomatic and strategic cooperation

Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) President Félix Tshisekedi met with Israeli leadership in Jerusalem to strengthen bilateral diplomatic and multisectoral cooperation. During high-level talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog, the leaders discussed expanding partnerships in several key sectors.

Discussions focused on security, defense, agriculture, infrastructure, energy, and high technology. President Tshisekedi emphasized the goal of building a modern and pragmatic partnership aimed at food security, water management, health, and innovation.

Additionally, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar held discussions with DRC Foreign Minister Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner. Their talks covered bilateral relations, Israeli security challenges, and regional issues, including the implementation of the agreement between the DRC and Rwanda.
