DRC Industries invests $4 million in Mississippi, adding 50 jobs

Kentucky‑based custom industrial packaging manufacturer DRC Industries announced a $4 million investment to expand production in Lowndes County, Mississippi. The company will lease part of a 130,000‑square‑foot facility on Yorkville Park Square in Columbus, creating 50 new jobs over the next two years.

The Mississippi Development Authority will support the project through its Flexible Tax Incentive program, and Governor Tate Reeves highlighted the investment as proof of the state’s successful economic‑development strategy. DRC Industries cited the region’s access to ports, rail lines and proximity to major customers such as Steel Dynamics as key factors in the site selection.
