DRDO DIBT announces recruitment for apprentices and research fellows

The Defence Institute of Biodefence Technologies (DIBT), under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has announced multiple recruitment opportunities for 2026.

For graduate apprentices, six positions are available for candidates holding a B. Sc, BE, or B. Tech degree. Applicants must be between 21 and 28 years old. The selection process involves an interview, and successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹12,300. The application deadline is September 15, 2026, and the roles are located in Karnataka.

Additionally, the institute is recruiting for five Research Associate and Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions. These roles require advanced qualifications, such as a PhD in Food Processing Engineering, an M. Sc. in Food Science & Technology with a valid NET/GATE score, or an M. Tech in Polymer Science. The maximum age limit for these positions is 35 years, with relaxations for reserved categories. The monthly salary ranges from ₹37,000 to ₹67,000.
