Drea de Matteo used OnlyFans to settle debts and defy Hollywood

Actress Drea de Matteo, known for her role in ‘The Sopranos’, has revealed that she used the subscription platform OnlyFans to resolve financial difficulties and protect her home from foreclosure following the pandemic.

During an appearance on the ‘Hate to Break It to Ya’ podcast, the 54-year-old actress described the move as a form of political defiance against the Hollywood system. She explained that her alienation from the entertainment industry, driven by her political views and opposition to COVID-19 vaccine mandates, led her to seek financial independence outside of traditional studio work.

De Matteo noted that despite her fame, she did not possess the level of financial security the public might assume. The income from the platform allowed her to settle a $75,000 debt and provided the capital to fund her own entrepreneurial projects, including her clothing line, Ultrafree, and her podcast.
