Dream Baseball event to feature former pro players in Sakata

The “Lottery Sports Fair Dream Baseball” event is scheduled to take place on September 6 at the SHONAI ENERGY Stadium in Sakata City. The event features a friendly match between a “dream team” of former professional baseball players and a selection team from Sakata City.

The dream team will be led by manager Tsuneo Horiuchi and is expected to include approximately 20 former players, such as Kenichi Tanizawa, Taira Fujita, Tetsuya Iida, and Teppei. In addition to the match, the event will include a baseball clinic for children, home run competitions, and a lottery where participants can win signed equipment, including bats, gloves, and balls.

Admission to the event is free, though spectators are required to obtain an admission ticket in advance. The event is organized by Yamagata Prefecture, Sakata City, and the Local Autonomy General Center.
