Dreamify Dream House Raffle offers higher odds than traditional lotteries

The Hamburg-based non-profit lottery organizer Dreamify is conducting a raffle for a seaside property on the Baltic Sea. Mathematics professor Christian Hesse, who teaches at the University of Stuttgart and is a guest professor at UCLA, has analyzed the winning probabilities of this raffle compared to traditional lotteries like 6aus49.

Hesse notes that while exact odds cannot be determined in advance because they depend on the total number of tickets sold, the chances appear significantly higher than standard lotteries. For instance, based on previous draws in February and April 2026 involving approximately 17.6 million and 15.5 million tickets respectively, a small package of 16 tickets would yield a winning probability of roughly 1 in 1.06 million. This is approximately 132 times better than the odds for a standard Lotto jackpot, which stand at 1 in 139,838,160.
