DREAMS COME TRUE releases first instrumental album

Japanese musical group DREAMS COME TRUE has released their first instrumental album, titled ‘THE BLACK ○ ALBUM - Instrumentals -’. The release commemorates the completion of their ‘DREAMS COME TRUE CONCERT TOUR 2026 THE BLACK ◯ ALBUM’.

Rather than simple instrumental versions of existing tracks, the album features new recordings where guest musicians reinterpret the melodies of Miwa Yoshida. The project includes contributions from high-profile musicians such as former Tower of Power trumpeter Greg Adams and New York session guitarist David Spinoza. Other contributors include Yoshiaki Mutoh, Masato Honma, and steel pan player Yoichi Izawa.

Masato Nakamura, who led the production, noted that the goal was for the instrumentalists to play the melodies as if they were performing Miwa Yoshida’s vocals. The group has also released a unique animated music video for the track ‘Koko Kara Da! - Instrumental featuring Yoshiaki Mutoh -’.
