Dresden hosts urban design anniversary and art exhibitions

Dresden is hosting several cultural and urban development events in September 2026. The Gestaltungskommission Dresden will celebrate its tenth anniversary on September 17 with a festive event at the AGORA in Stadtforum Dresden. The celebration includes an impulse lecture by architect Alexander Pötzsch and a panel discussion featuring city officials and architects. An exhibition titled ‘Baukultur? Baukultur!’ will showcase ten selected projects from the commission’s history and will remain open until October 31.

Additionally, the Kreative Werkstatt Dresden e. V. has announced its September program. The gallery is currently hosting a sculptural exhibition by HyoJeong Kim, which runs until October 4. The center also offers intercultural ceramics workshops, as well as various courses in drawing, printmaking, and wood sculpting for all age groups.
