Dresden prepares for major concert weekend with Die Toten Hosen

Dresden is preparing for a major concert weekend featuring Die Toten Hosen and Unheilig. Die Toten Hosen are performing their only concert in East Germany as part of their farewell tour at the Rinne, with approximately 65,000 attendees expected. Unheilig is scheduled for two performances at the Filmnächte am Elbufer, with over 15,000 visitors anticipated for each show.

To accommodate the crowds, the Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe (DVB) is adjusting public transport services on Saturday, August 29. Several bus lines, including 68 and 92, will face diversions and skipped stops, such as Krankenhaus Friedrichstadt and Vorwerkstraße. DVB is increasing frequency on lines 9 and 10, and adding extra services on lines E2, E9, E10, and E11 for departures.

Road closures will be in effect for access roads to the Rinne from Saturday morning until Sunday. Organizers have noted that entry for the Die Toten Hosen concert will be exclusively via Pieschener Allee near the sports fields. Paid parking is available in the vicinity of both major event locations.
