Dricus Du Plessis open to trilogy fight with Roberto Soldic
Former UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis has expressed interest in a third fight against Roberto Soldic following Soldic’s successful UFC debut at UFC 332. The two fighters currently hold a 1-1 rivalry from their time in the KSW promotion, where each secured a stoppage victory against the other in 2018.
Du Plessis noted that while Soldic has long been considered a top fighter outside of the UFC, he must first establish himself within the organization. For a trilogy match to occur, Du Plessis stated that Soldic would likely need to secure several wins and move from the welterweight division up to middleweight.
Soldic made his UFC debut on October 3 in Salt Lake City, defeating Kalinn Williams via unanimous decision in a welterweight bout.
