Driscoll’s appoints Brie Reiter Smith as new CEO

Driscoll’s has appointed Brie Reiter Smith as its new chief executive officer, effective immediately. Smith, the daughter of Executive Chair Miles Reiter and granddaughter of co-founder Joe Reiter, is a fourth-generation leader in the family that owns the berry company.

Smith succeeds Soren Bjorn, who was named CEO in 2023. Bjorn will remain with the company to support the transition and assist with key strategic priorities. During her tenure at Driscoll’s, Smith has held various roles, including growing blueberries in Chile, overseeing quality and product leadership in the Americas, and serving as vice chair of the board of directors.

Based in Watsonville, California, Driscoll’s specializes in strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries, operating business units across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia, and Asia.
