Dritëro Agolli house-museum opens in Menkulas

President Bajram Begaj attended the opening ceremony of the Dritëro Agolli house-museum in Menkulas, Devoll, to mark the 95th anniversary of the renowned writer's birth.

Begaj described Agolli as one of the most significant figures in Albanian literature, noting his ability to connect his birthplace to the wider world through his work. The President characterized the inauguration as a national act of gratitude and a valuable investment in the region's cultural heritage, providing a new space for researchers, visitors, and youth.

In his remarks, Begaj highlighted Agolli's mastery of the Albanian language and his capacity to reflect the spiritual lives of ordinary people. He also acknowledged Agolli's role as an intellectual during the social shifts of the 1990s.
