Drivbänken wins Malmö Urban Design Award 2026

The Drivbänken office building in Malmö has been awarded the 2026 Malmö Urban Design Award. Completed in 2025 and located in the Embassy of Sharing district near Hyllie station, the project was a collaboration between Granitor Properties and Wingårdhs architects.

Selected from 73 nominations, the building was recognized for its sustainable design, circular principles, and integration of greenery. Beyond its function as an office space, the project provides open meeting areas and public spaces intended to foster community interaction and knowledge exchange.

Stefana Hoti, chair of the urban planning committee and jury member, noted that the building adds value to the city by serving as a place where residents can meet and work. The award, one of Sweden’s oldest, includes a diploma and a bronze plaque to be mounted on the property.
