Greece: Multiple arrests made for dangerous driving and traffic violations

Greek authorities have responded to several incidents of dangerous driving across different regions. In Vrilissia, a 21-year-old driver was arrested after video footage showed him speeding through a red light on Penteli Avenue, nearly striking a pedestrian using a crosswalk. The driver and a passenger, who was reportedly leaning out of the window, were taken before a prosecutor on charges of dangerous driving.

In Athens, a 41-year-old motorcyclist was arrested after refusing to stop for police. During a pursuit, the individual committed 16 consecutive traffic violations, including seven red light infractions and nine instances of driving against the flow of traffic on one-way streets. The driver faces a total fine of 5,975 euros and criminal charges for dangerous driving.

Additionally, in Lamia, an intoxicated driver caused a head-on collision after driving erratically and striking several parked vehicles in the center of the city. The driver sustained head injuries during the incident.
