Driver detained after vehicle descends stairs in Huatusco

A driver was detained by municipal police in Huatusco, Veracruz, after a Nissan Altima descended a set of stairs at El Mirador. The vehicle traveled approximately 300 meters from its original path before becoming wedged between a handrail and a perimeter fence near a coffee processing facility.

Witnesses reported that the driver exited through a window and fled the scene on foot. Local residents alleged the driver appeared to be intoxicated. Emergency services, including Civil Protection and the Red Cross, attended the scene, and the vehicle was seized by authorities.
