Argentina updates transport regulations and digital fine services

The Ministry of Transport of Buenos Aires has launched the ‘Asistente Virtual de Infracciones BA’, a digital tool allowing citizens to consult traffic fines, view original violation records, and download payment slips via WhatsApp 24/7. Minister Martín Marinucci stated the initiative aims to modernize the state and simplify administrative procedures through technology. Authorities warned users to use only official channels to avoid scams, noting the assistant will never request bank details or personal passwords.

Separately, Argentina's National Secretariat of Transport approved Resolution 55/2026 to streamline changes to urban and suburban public transport services. This new procedure replaces a 2018 framework, allowing for more flexible and rapid adjustments to routes, frequencies, and vehicle fleets in response to demand or security issues, aiming to reduce administrative bottlenecks.
