Driver dies after falling from National Highway 3 in Changhua

A fatal accident occurred on the southbound side of National Highway 3 near the 191km mark in the Hemei section of Changhua on the night of August 31. A 41 or 42-year-old male driver, identified by the surname Tseng, lost control of his passenger car and struck a traffic island and the exit ramp guardrail.

The collision caused severe damage to the front of the vehicle. Reports indicate that after the impact, the driver managed to escape the vehicle but subsequently fell from the elevated highway onto a surface road below. Emergency responders from the Hemei Fire Department and Highway Police arrived at the scene to find the driver without a pulse. Despite being rushed to Guangtian Hospital for emergency treatment, he was pronounced dead.
