M1 motorway truck accident causes fuel spill and traffic delays

A major traffic accident occurred on the M1 motorway near Mosonmagyaróvár on the direction of Hegyeshalom. A truck carrying paper goods overturned and struck the inner guardrail.

The accident resulted in a significant fuel spill onto the roadway and caused the cargo to scatter across both lanes. Emergency services, including firefighters from Mosonmagyaróvár and Lébény, responded to the scene to secure the vehicle and manage the hazard.

Authorities closed the inner lanes in both directions for technical recovery and safety measures. The incident caused substantial traffic congestion, with delays of several kilometers reported on the side heading toward the border. The driver of the truck was the sole occupant and received medical attention at the scene.
