Driver injured in Rio Branco car accident on BR-364

A driver was injured after his vehicle plunged into a five-meter ravine along the BR-364 highway near the Industrial District roundabout in Rio Branco. The accident occurred on a Thursday night when the driver, 38-year-old Douglas Thiago Moraes do Nascimento, attempted a maneuver to avoid an oncoming truck.

During the maneuver, the vehicle crossed into the opposite lane, lost control, and fell into a wooded area. A passenger reported that the occupants had consumed alcohol at a nearby establishment prior to the trip. Emergency services, including SAMU and the Fire Department, responded to the scene. While firefighters inspected the vehicle for additional victims, none were found. The driver was treated by medical teams at the roadside.
