Driver Withdraws Appeal After Fatal Pedestrian Crash in Sulzbach‑Rosenberg

In April, a transporter rolled backward out of a driveway in Sulzbach‑Rosenberg, Bavaria, striking and killing a 58‑year‑old pedestrian. The driver, who had been charged with causing the death, appeared before the Amberg Regional Court and formally withdrew his appeal against the conviction.

The court proceedings concluded with the driver abandoning his effort to overturn the verdict, leaving the original judgment in place.
