DriveWealth data breach exposes Revolut customer information

A security breach at DriveWealth, the US-based broker providing stock trading services for Revolut, has exposed the personal data of some fintech customers. DriveWealth reported that unauthorized access occurred on September 4 and 5.

Revolut stated that its own infrastructure, systems, passwords, and payment card details were not compromised, and that customer funds and investments remain secure. The breach at DriveWealth specifically impacted customer data held within the broker's systems.

The scope of the impact varies by region. In the United States, the incident affects customers who have utilized US stock trading services. For customers in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area (including Ireland), and Australia, the exposure is limited to historical records dating from before Revolut updated its trading model between December 2023 and June 2025.

Exposed information may include customer profile details such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, employment information, citizenship, age, gender, and partial account numbers.
