Balkan region hosts various cultural and gastronomic festivals

Various cultural and gastronomic festivals are taking place across the Balkan region. In Kikinda, Serbia, the 41st Dani Ludaje (Pumpkin Days) will be held from September 17 to 20. The event features musical performances by Dragana Mirković and Goca Tržan, alongside competitions for the heaviest and longest pumpkins. The festival is a significant draw for regional tourists, including many from Romania.

Other regional events include the 9th International Prosciutto Festival in Drniš, Croatia, which showcases traditional meat products from various producers. In Karlovac, Croatia, the 39th Beer Days festival offers five days of music and gastronomy, featuring artists such as Severina. Additionally, the Porto Gastro Festival is scheduled for late August in Kantrida, highlighting Kvarner gastronomy with Michelin-recommended chefs.

In Bajmok, the 21st Bunjevačka Culture Days will begin with a documentary on Bishop Ivan Antunović, followed by an ethnic food festival. Meanwhile, Slavonia and Baranja in Croatia are hosting multiple summer events, including the Days of the First Croatian Beer in Osijek and a large humanitarian concert by Marko Perković Thompson in Vukovar.
