Drone crashes into track area at Fengyuan Station

A drone reportedly lost control and flew into the track area of Fengyuan Station in Taichung on the afternoon of September 26. The incident was captured on video by a railway enthusiast who was waiting for a special train.

The footage shows the drone entering the station area, striking a facility, and falling onto the tracks. According to witnesses, the operator was nearby and admitted to being unable to control the device, though it is unclear if the malfunction was caused by external factors such as high-voltage interference.

While no immediate impact on train operations was reported, the incident has raised concerns regarding railway safety and the risks posed by foreign objects entering track zones.
