Drone technology education and certification initiatives expand in Japan

Educational and training initiatives regarding drone technology are expanding in Japan. At Ono Agricultural High School, a special lecture titled ‘Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration Smart Agriculture Education’ was held. The session, a collaboration between the city, Digital Information Technology (DIT), and the school, provided 58 students with hands-on experience in agricultural drone functions, manual operation, and automated flight demonstrations.

In Kumamoto Prefecture, the drone school Mugen no Sora has announced a free trial event in Minamiaso Village scheduled for September 19. The event aims to support individuals and businesses interested in obtaining national drone certifications, focusing on practical skills for industries such as infrastructure inspection and surveying. The school reports a high success rate for its specialized curriculum, which emphasizes practical training to prepare users for professional certification.
