Dörte Hansen releases new novel ‘Broder’

Dörte Hansen has released a new novel titled ‘Broder’, which explores themes of rivalry and family dynamics set against the backdrop of a North German farm. The story focuses on twin brothers, Broder and Henning, whose lives diverge despite their similar beginnings.

Henning has taken over the family farm, while Broder, after working as a veterinarian in France, has returned to the North to treat the animals on his brother's farm. The narrative examines the tension arising from unpaid labor, the pressures of modern agriculture, and the complex emotional inheritance of a family facing change and old wounds.
