Dominican Republic, Mexico and Argentina record large drug busts and arrests

Police operations across the Dominican Republic seized illegal slot machines, narcotics and contraband, detaining eight people in Capotillo and confiscating marijuana, cocaine, crack, MDMA, unregistered supplements, cigarettes and cash. A separate DNCD sweep in Santo Domingo Norte arrested 27 suspects and seized more than 7 kg of cocaine, 1.2 kg of marijuana, crack doses, firearms and drug‑weighing equipment. In the northeast provinces, three men were arrested and over 3 kg of cocaine, two pistols and cash were seized.

In Mexico, federal forces dismantled a clandestine laboratory in Zapopan, Jalisco, seizing roughly one kilogram of fentanyl, chemicals for methamphetamine production, a firearm and a vehicle. Argentine authorities incinerated three tonnes of cocaine and marijuana in Corrientes after coordinated police and gendarmerie operations. Honduran security forces eradicated about 21 000 coca bushes in the Yoro department, highlighting the persistence of crop cultivation despite ongoing eradication efforts. In Kuwait, the Directorate‑General for Drug Control raided a secret Captagon factory, confiscating five kilograms of raw powder, a tablet‑pressing machine and roughly 100 000 pills valued at over 500 000 dinars. Mauritian police intercepted two youths who discarded 1.6 g of marijuana into a stream during a chase, arresting both suspects.
