U.S. border agents seize $15 million in methamphetamine at Texas crossing

Law enforcement agencies across the Americas have conducted several significant drug interdiction operations. In the United States, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seized approximately $15 million worth of methamphetamine at the Pharr International Bridge in Texas. The drugs, weighing 1,676 pounds, were hidden in a trailer from Reynosa, Mexico, that was declared to be carrying fresh celery.

In Argentina, authorities in Tucumán detained three individuals attempting to transport over one kilogram of cocaine, while a separate operation in the Constitución neighborhood of Buenos Aires led to the arrest of 17 dealers and the seizure of thousands of doses of cocaine, marijuana, and coca paste.

In Bolivia, police intercepted 378 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a refrigerated vehicle near the La Pintada toll booth, and a separate case in Oruro resulted in a 30-day preventive detention for a man caught with 61 packets of cocaine.

Other regional operations included the seizure of 34 kilograms of cocaine from a commercial bus in Nogales, Arizona, and various arrests in Mexico involving the possession of methamphetamine and marijuana in Tepezalá and Jesús María, as well as an investigation in Xalisco, Nayarit, involving eight detainees.
